Otterbox Defender Review

This is the tank of cases! Everywhere I go people have gave me comments on this case. This is an attention grabber! I have been getting comments like- "That thing is a tank", "It could probably survive a war!", "Is that thing bulletproof?!" It’s freaking awesome!!!

This case is amazing- if you are looking for total protection. It protects every single part of your phone. The vibrate switch, dock connector, and the headphone jack are all covered is by a rubber flaps. The screen, sensors and apple logo are covered by a durable plastic. The earpiece, speaker and microphone are covered by a type of tissue paper.

It is a two piece design. It has a plastic shell for scuff protection and an outer silicon layer for shock protection. The plastic is not as thick as you would imagine but once you put the silicon on you notice the bulkiness. The plastic flexes a little bit, and I wouldn’t want the case to be any thicker. The silicon layer is very smooth and does not feel cheap- although it attracts a little bit of lint.

It doesn’t inhibit any functions of the iPhone and it fit with my bodyguardz. But then I had the bodyguardz on all the clips closed it closed except the top one but was still very tight.

One thing I thought about when I had this case is why they would make the apple logo visible if they are making sure a durable case, rugged case. Later on I figured out why! If they didn’t open it up it would be very bland and be too serious. Because they chose to uncover, the case appeal to more people and people automatically know it’s an apple product which is really nice.

One thing I didn’t like about this case is the inside of the plastic is not smooth and has 8 circular indentations from the molding process that could scratch your phone. Over time this could possibly scratch your phone.

Overall this case was great and would recommend it to anyone who plans to keep there iPhone for a long time and is looking for a rugged case. I think this case would increase your phone's resale value- if you plan on selling it later, because your phone would be in excellent condition. This case protects your phone from any accidental drops. This case is a good deal for $50. For that you are getting a good quality case that has very good protection.
I give it an 8.5/10- because the inside was not smooth, the case is hard to get out of your pocket, and adds a little too much bulk.
So if you are looking for one of the toughest cases for your iPhone this case the on for you!

Review of the Bodyguardz for iPhone 3g
Got It Covered

So you bought an iPhone 3g, the beautiful, sleek design. You've probably been showing it off, but one day you notice a scratch!

So you ask yourself what can I get to protect the iPhone and keep the beautiful sleek design? Well there are many choices- Bestskinsever, Invisible Shield and Bodyguardz are the main ones.

In my opinion Bodyguardz is the best one, they use same material used on the blades of helicopters. First off there are two so if you happen to mess up you have a backup, none of the other companies do this.
What I have noticed about Bodyguardz is that it is very smooth- No orange peel effect and the skin is very precision cut, which gives you confidence when installing, and it is cut to make the installation easier for you. For me the installation was quite simple but it does require some patience especially on the corners, but if you need help watch their nice installation videos.

The material is very strong and it will resist scratches and protect your phone.

It covers almost the whole iPhone 3g- 98% of it but it is impossible to cover everything because of the round design. It has very good corner protection. At the corners you may notice that dust and lint will stick to the edges over a longer period of time, but they also have a replacement guarantee.

The price they are only $24.99+ Shipping for two, but they come with everything you will need squeegee, application solution and instruction, and if you care, they also some with a nice looking box unlike other companies. If you find the price to be expensive they are cheaper if you buy with a friend (Split the price in half) and that gets you the best quality film I think you can buy, to me that is worth it.

Bodyguardz also has great customer service- ask a question and get a great response/answer to any of your questions very quickly. They are a great company.

Overall I would recommend this product to anyone looking for something that will stop scratches. If you are the person that drops there phone a lot DO NOT get this as this does not offer any drop protection. I believe that Bodyguardz is one of the best scratch protection solutions on the market.

So what are you waiting for if you are looking for a product that will protect your device from scratches I highly recommend this for you.
I would give it a 9/10- AWESOME

Piel Frama Magnetic Leather Case

If you need an executive looking case look no further than the Piel Frama Magnetic Case for your iPhone 3g. The case is very nice looking and is very high quality.

Piel Frama is a company that specializes in quality hand made products. There cases are made by hand in Spain.

When you first open up the box you smell the scent of high quality leather. The box is very nice and everything inside is not cheap looking. Everything is done very nicely and perfectly. The execution of the whole case is amazing. Everything aligns perfectly – camera hole and headphone jack are large.

The case is exactly what you expect from a $100 dollar case.

Piel Frama include a bottle, but inside is no fluid, they say to fill it with water because they say water is the best screen cleaning solution. They include a leather chamois that does a very good job of cleaning the screen, but it’s quite awkward to use because of the plastic on both sides.

The one area where the company disappoints me is that they don’t include a screen protector. I think every case over $30 should have a screen protector included. I believe the reason they didn’t include one is because the flip part protects the screen.

The case is very soft and feels nice in the hand. Due to its design some people might not like the flip part of the case when using the phone and making calls. I don’t mind that anymore.

The belt clip is really nice as well, it is a free motion belt clip meaning that it doesnt click into its place and it swings freely.

Overall I really like this case. The materials, design and build quality are excellent. I would recommend this case if you are looking for a premium, leather, executive case, and if you are willing to spend $100. I would recommend looking into a Vaja if you don’t like so much "executiveness".

This case would suit a businessman. It would make his phone look professional and they would have enough money to buy it- :)

8/10- (CONS) really high price and the lack of a screen protector. Other than that they have a really nice premium leather case! Some people say you get what you pay for, in this case that is very true!

PS: from what I heard and my own experience the magnets have no effect on the iPhone 3g

GelaSkins and GelaScreens Review for iPhone 3g
Protection with Style. Not Bulk.

I just got the GelaSkins skin for my iPhone 3g! It looks so nice. I really like there designs. I can guarantee you that once this is on your phone people are going to give you attention, and thats what some people want.
The material is a lot different from Bodyguardz, it feels different an looks different as well. It has a honeycomb pattern. I tested the material and it is not super strong like the Bodyguardz, BSE or the invisable shield but it will resist all those scratches you don't want.

What make GelaSkins stand out from other companies is there nice artwork. They got a large selection, so they will have something you might like. They also have downloadable wallpapers to match the artwork! I really like the ability to have the wallpaper the same as the artwork. Thats really cool. One of my big requests to Gelaskins is to offer a front skin with the art as well.

The install: Bodyguardz is tricky to install, but this is completely different. First off you don't need any solution, nor do you need a sqeegee. The material lets out air, this way you always get a perfect install, with no bubbles. I sure love an easy install!

It covers the whole back and the sides of the iPhone 3g- not including the bezel. Making it good for those who want protection from scratches by laying it down on the back. They are as thick as the Bodyguardz, BSE and IS. Meaning it might not fit in all cases. So watch out!

Personally it is a bit too flashy for me but hey, if you want attention and scuff protection go for it! I can easily recommend this product for anyone.

The Price: $14.95 for one but if you buy 3 you get the 4th one free. So gather a group of friends and buy together if you want.

I also have GelaScreens which are a screen protector.
GelaScreens: They come in a 2 pack with a microfiber cloth. My first complain I have is the cloth 3x3 (inches) and to me it doesn't feel so nice. It is very thin, and I feel like I can rip it :(  But I guess it is better than nothing, other companies don't give you anything.

GelaScreens are quite expensive for what you get at $12.95, considering the Power Support is $14.99 but they are really really nice. I'm not saying these are bad screen protectors, it is just that for the price they don't beat the competition.

They are static cling screen guards and they are very clear. The cut is very nice, an they are the size of the Power Support.

The installation is very simple, just peel a little of the back off, align it and peel the rest off and there you go done! As easy any other static screen protector.

They are $12.95 :( but if you are buying a GelaSkins with them that drops the price to $7.75 :) which I think is worth it, if you have the need for it.

They are a great company to do business with. Great communication and fast shipping! Totally recommend the Gelaskins to anyone looking for protection with style and without bulk. As for the GelaScreens, I only recommend the GelaScreens if you are buying a Gelaskin.

Overall the Gelaskin gets an 9/10- Really Nice!
and the Gelascreen get an 7.5/10- Really Good (If you get it for $7.75)

www.FullBodyFilms.com Review

FullBodyFilms competes with many companies like- Bodyguardz, Invisible Shield, BestSkinsEver etc. Since the launch of the iPhone many new companies joined in and made there own skins. FullBodyFilms is a little different because they seem like they are using other companies best products and combining them into a protection pack. I think that is very creative, that way you have the best front and rear film without needing to buy from two companies.

First off, it has an environmental packaging that ships in the mail. In the envelope comes 2 screen shields and 1 back. I would like to see 2 backs- in case you mess up the installation. There is one glass film- Crystal Film and one Pro-Finish Film- Anti-Glare Film, and a back film that looks and feels like the Bodyguardz back.
The installation of the front film is very simple, you just peel 1/3 of the plastic protection, lay it on the iPhone and align it. The tricky part is aligning it just right but you can just keep trying until you get it right.
The front films are very nice- top quality. I have been using it for a while and can say that even the film resists scratches. Personally I like the anti-glare much better although it has a weird texture you have to get used to.

The back installation is the same as the Bodyguardz but you make the solution. I had trouble in the corners- one tip is to use a blow-dryer and if there is a ridge, take a nail clipper and cut it off then just press and hopefully it will stay down.

To order you need to send them an e-mail stating which one you need make sure you write 'EHMAC'
You pay through PayPal which is very convenient for most people.
The Prices:
$19.00 for one
$37.00 for two
$16.50 each for 3+

The front face films look and feel like Power Support ones- $14.99 and add $4 for the bodyguardz back. I Find it to be an excellent deal- but its unfortunate they don't have a lifetime replacement guarantee.
Overall I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to buy a very nice front and back film.
9.5/10- because they don't include anything (squeegee and solution)
Other than those thing this product is VERY GOOD.

Marware C.E.O Flip Vue Review for iPhone 3g

The Marware C.E.O Flip Vue is a leather flip case for the iPhone 3g. I really like leather cases, at least the ones that have good quality leather and feel well made.

To be honest the Marware case doesn't use very soft leather, but then again it costs $34.99, so for that price it's OK.

The Marware fits the iPhone very well and I wouldn't be worried to shake it up and down with the phone inside. With my Bodyguardz the fit was really nice.

One major gripe that I had about this case is the poorly aligned camera hole. The early Flip Vues had this problem and it was very poorly aligned, and apparently Marware fixed that problem but I still had it. Another problem I had is that the part near the home button covers it a little bit. This case doesn't feel well made and feels sort of cheap because of these small flaws.

The inside of this case is nice. The lining is a suede-like material which is very soft and I can say that it won't scratch your phone. Another thing I liked is that the microphone and speaker are protected from dust because there is a braid-like plastic.

More good things about the Flip Vue are that the Velcro is slim and strong and I really like the belt clip provided, it is quite strong and it is slim.

This case adds a bit of bulk and it doesn't feel like you are holding an iPhone. To me this case was a little awkward to hold up to my face when making a call mainly because of the flap.

Marware is very nice when it comes to extras! They include a screen protector, cleaning cloth and a coupon for a free swivel clip- when you buy something from their website.

Overall this case is decent. I could recommend it to someone that doesn't mind the flap design, the miss-aligned camera hole and the little piece that covers the home button a little bit.

6/10- because the flaws will bother many people. If Marware can fix these flaws and improve the quality of the case by a little, it would be possible for a 7.5-8/10.

Griffin Wave Review for iPhone 3g

Here we have a hard shell case for your iPhone 3g. The Griffin has unique locking mechanism that is well thought out! The Griffin Wave looks really nice on your phone and adds minimal bulk. This case is very nice-when used without a screen protector and Bodyguardz. When putting this case on my iPhone I ruined 2 perfectly good screen shields! Once on my phone- with Bodyguardz there were spaces in between the creases! I was very disappointed, so I took off the Bodyguardz.

The case on my naked iPhone was MUCH EASIER to put on and fit marvelously. The case was meant to be used without a Body Shield.

This case has a very nice texture. It feels very smooth- matte. I would rather them make full color ones instead of making them a little bit see through. This case protects your iPhone very well.
You can buy this case on some sites for $15.99, which I think is a great price for a very nice durable case that provides exceptional protection.

All ports are accessible and are easy to get to. This case took time to design, and they really thought about it.

One thing that I would be scared of doing with this case is dropping it because it has no shock protection! Other than that this case is very nice.

This case comes with a screen protector which is decent; it also comes with a cleaning cloth which is nice.
Overall I REALLY recommend this case to anyone looking for that scuff protection. I would only recommend it if you don't have a Bodyguardz, IS, BSE, Fullbodyfilms, PhantomSkinz, etc.

8.5/10- for the interesting design that is very secure, that everything aligns properly and it fits very well.

V-Moda Vibe Duo Review

The V-Moda Vibe Duos are very sexy headphones! They were release last year when the iPhone 2g arrived. At first they had no clicker- just microphone, then they added a clicker and now they improved the reliability because too many people had problems with them. They redesigned the jack to make them less breakable.
These headphones look SEXY!! They match the beautiful sleek design of your iPhone. They also come with good looking accessories like a leather pouch and 6 pairs of fittings- 3 sizes- 2 colors.
The v-modas are quite bassy, but I really like that to the music I listen to, but I know it won’t suit all people. They sound very nice, but not quite as nice as you would think they would for $100 headphones. One really nice thing about the V-Modas is that the headphones have good isolation, so you don't have to listen to other things while listening to your music.

The Vibe Duos are made for the iPhone so they have a clicker and microphone. I have some gripes about those things, first off- the clicker is a little hard to press because it is skinny and small (not like the apple one); sometimes I has to look at it to find and click it. Secondly, the microphone doesn’t sound so great and people on the other end said they could hear me but my voice was a bit muffled, but the same thing happens with my apple ones.

The headphones fit in my ears perfectly and they were very comfortable mainly because of the soft silicon fittings. Other headphones I tried are not comfortable in my ears and they hurt after a while.
V-moda gives these headphones a 1 year warranty-if anything goes wrong they will replace them.
If you are used to using those stock apple headphones, these will be a considerable improvement. The v-modas are stylish, sound nice, come with some accessories and have a1 year warranty and they come from a great company.

Overall if you are looking for possibly the best looking headphones, these are the ones to get. They also sound great. The worst thing about these headphones is the steep price, but if you want to spend $100 on really cool headphones I would recommend these to you for the price. So if you are looking for headphones that have the clicker and microphone built in- at a $100 budget, these are definitely the ones!
8/10- because of the nice looks, built in iPhone clicker and microphone, but not a 9/10 because of the relatively steep price and you would expect better sound quality for the price you are paying.

Marware Sport Grip Review

Are you looking for a case that fits your iPhone very snugly, doesn’t add much bulk and has shock protection? The Marware Sport Grip may be your answer.

It is a very nice case that offers almost total protection. After using this case I really liked it. It was on my iPhone well, and I wasn't worried at all that it would come off. It covers everything but the actual screen- but they include a really nice screen protector. The only parts that are left exposed are the ringer toggle, headphone jack, the bottom ports and the mic+speaker.

The case feels top notch. The material is really smooth, but grippy. The bad part about the material- (silicon cases in general) is that when they are in your pocket it is hard for you to take it out. Another thing I didn’t like is that it is a serious lint catcher, but since the silicon is smooth it is quite easy for you to clean it off.

This case it’s your iPhone very well even with a bodyguardz, BSE or IS. There is no movement at all and everything is precisely aligned. Another thing I loved is that they added more silicon to the power button, and the volume rocker, this makes it a lot easier to press them and you can feel the click.

I feel that after a long time this case won’t stretch at all and will always fit your phone really nicely.
One thing I should note:  there is a line around the case and some thin silicon from the molding process.

I found no major flaws other than the fact that it is a serious lint catcher. If you can get used to that, this case is totally for you. Personally this is not my style of case, but if you have $20 lying around and are looking for a great case, be sure to look at this one.

Overall I give this case an 8.5/10- it is very much worth the $20 because they include a cleaning cloth, and a great screen protector with this excellent case.
(They come in a variety of colors, but black was my favorite)
If you like silicon cases, be sure to try this one out!

Pogo Stylus Review

Have you ever gotten your hands dirty or greasy and you needed to use your iPhone or were wearing gloves and needed to use your iPhone? Well here comes a solution from Ten One Design- the Pogo Stylus is one of the only stylus' that will work with the iPhone's touch screen. The Pogo Stylus looks stylish and is functional. You can get the accuracy you want and possibly type faster. It comes with a clip that attaches on you phone pretty tight. Something tells me the clip might scratch the bezel of the iPhone- but I had the Bodyguardz on so I wasn't really worried. How did they get this to work, well i think its magic!

When on your phone it looks sophisticated and elegant, and its easy to take out of the clip when you need to use it.

If you were thinking about a stylus but were thinking thats its so plain, this one is not! It comes in 4 colors and they are made out of metal- but they are light. They feel very sturdy an not cheap- it matches your iPhone.

The Pogo Stylus works with all the iPod Touches and both iPhones, but the clip will only fit the iPhone 3g, iPhone and the 1st gen. iPod Touch.

Does it work well? Simply, yes they do, they are very responsive and you dont have to push very hard.
The Pogo Stylus looks large on pictures but its not, I was actually surprised on how small it was.
They are $19.99, which is pretty expensive for what it is, but some people might need this so $19.99 might seem very affordable.

For more information go to: http://www.tenonedesign.com/stylus.php
P.S www.apsprostore.com has them on sale for $14.99
Overall I give this a 7/10- because of its relatively steep price and that the clip might scratch your bezel.
